The core narrative focuses on two sisters caught right in the middle of this societal shift: an unenhanced long jumper who watches her lifelong Olympic dream collapse as she fades into irrelevance, and her bionic-enhanced sister who rapidly climbs to superstardom and million-dollar sponsorships.

Although the script sometimes wavers and occasionally loses its emotional footing amidst the high-speed chases, the distinctly Latin American cyberpunk aesthetic and magnetic performances make "Bionic" a profoundly interesting and worthwhile genre experiment.
